I want to start by just mentioning no two bodies are the same. I think where most people struggle is looking at popular fitness models, whose jobs are to workout 8 hours a day, and expecting to look just like them! Unfortunately, that’s completely unrealistic. I come across so many girls who just aren’t shaped to be a twig, and they can’t help it. It’s in their bone structure. Yet, they get so defeated when they can’t tummy tuck their way into a “better life”. A lot of guys do the same thing. Those eight packs don’t come naturally, you have to take additional supplements to look like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The hardest thing is to accept where you are in your health and physical fitness journey, but it’s the most important. Everyone has to start somewhere. One lap around the park is so much better than sitting on the couch, watching TV and feeling sorry for yourself because you don’t already look like the body builders in the gym.
Of course I love to motivate and inspire people to live healthy lifestyles, but my hope is that when you read this blog, you take small tips away from the computer screen and apply them to your everyday life. I’m not going to ask you to lose 100 pounds in 32 hours. I’m going to ask that you slip on your tennis shoes, and walk this journey of life with me! I hope to encourage you to live healthily not just for yourself, but also for the people around you. And it’s really simple if you first, accept where you are in your journey, and set small goals along the way.
Remember, no two bodies are ever going to be the same. Accept where you are, and look forward to accomplishing goals in the very near future.
